Outreach Events
At Our Savior’s and Skogdalen Lutheran Churches, outreach is one of the ways we live out our mission to be a community through Christ who are loved and forgiven to love and forgive. We believe that faith is shared not only in worship, but also around tables, through acts of service, and in the relationships we build with our neighbors.

Each week, Come for Supper offers a free community meal where everyone is welcome. There is no charge, no requirement, and no expectation — just a warm meal and a place at the table.​

Throughout the year, our congregations also host meals, fundraisers, quilting ministry, and community events that bring people together and share God’s love in practical ways.

Lefsa Making
Bakers of all ages take part in this annual baking tradition. Lefsa is an important part of the Norwegian heritage in our congregation, and one of the greatest joys of the day is passing down baking techniques to the next generation.
Our Savior's Lutefisk Dinner
In memory of Pastor Gary Daines, our founding Lutefisk Father, everyone is invited to our annual Old Fashioned Lutefisk Dinner, featuring our headliner, along with meatballs, potatoes, gravy, rutabagas, carrots, coffee, milk, and pastries.
Skogdalen Valentine's Tea
The Valentine’s Tea is a special gathering hosted by the Skogdalen WELCA (Women of the ELCA). This annual event offers a time of fellowship, friendship, and warm hospitality as you gather around beautifully decorated tables to enjoy tea, treats, and conversation.
Skogdalen Salad Luncheon
Skogdalen's Salad Luncheon is a beloved gathering hosted by the ladies of the church on the first Saturday of May every year. This event brings people together for a delicious meal of a variety of salads, warm conversation, and joyful fellowship around the table.
Our Savior's Syttende Mai Dinner
Held on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Our Savior’s, this meal is a staple event of Westby’s Norwegian heritage festival. Come enjoy a delicious dinner before the big parade through downtown Westby. The menu includes meatballs, mashed potatoes, lefse, and more.
Our Savior's Pork Chop Dinner
The Our Savior’s Drive-Thru Pork Chop Dinner is a great event for the whole community.
Let us do the cooking for you and enjoy a meal featuring grilled pork chops, baked potatoes, and all the fixings.
Skogdalen Raffle
Each August, Skogdalen hosts a raffle and lunch fundraiser. The raffle features a homemade quilt made by a member of the congregation. You are invited to enjoy a light lunch of hot dogs, chili dogs, BBQ, chips, salads, and desserts.

Our Savior's Annual Lasagna Dinner
Our Savior’s Annual Lasagna Dinner is held each October and is a favorite fall tradition in the life of the church. You are invited to enjoy a delicious meal while supporting the ministry and ongoing needs of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.
This fundraiser also features a silent auction and bake sale, offering many ways to take part, give generously, and enjoy fellowship with friends, neighbors, and members of the congregation.

On the first Sunday in October, Skogdalen serves its annual Drive-Thru Meatball Dinner. This beloved fall tradition brings together the good food, faithful service, and warm hospitality that are at the heart of Skogdalen’s community life.

The Skogdalen Bazaar is a beloved tradition that brings together food, fellowship, and handmade gifts. You are invited to enjoy a delicious meal, browse a variety of baked goods, and shop for crafts made with care by members and friends of the congregation.
